Default bad gas MPG and my problems solved!

SO my 98 z34 wasn't getting the best gas mileage it has 105k. wires were stock so i replaced them, plugs were stock so i replaced them, didn't notice a damn thing! after wondering wtf is going on i put some fuel injector cleaner in there just any regular time, i'm getting 30+ more MPg on a tank now and i'm driving it harder than ever! i didn't think that fuel injector cleaner would really make that big of a difference but it really did! jus tthought i'd let everyone know that i tried almost everything up to the point of driving like a elderly person, to save gas!

well i first used SLICK 50 for higher mileage cars, it helped with about 20 miles plus. Then i used the prestone complete fuel injection cleaner says use every 4k miles, and that topped it off with much better MPG, any more questions feel free to ask!

Mobil 1 synthetic will do a great job as well. Also you might want to check where you are going for gas. Shell and BP's usually have a cleaner built right into them.

I just switched to Mobil 1 synth at the oil change right before I hit 36K on the clock. I would like to report that I have experienced a noticeable gain in performance. Temps run lower, idle is smoother, acceleration has increased and it seems to be getting better everyday. I highly recommend it.

Is the Slick 50 a fuel additive or oil? Where does this go?

Not sure what was added to my '06 when they did the oil change at the dealer (they swore they really did one) juts before I bought the car?

But they used synthetic with the oil change last week I got for the car and I have to admit I believe I do feel a difference?

Today is my g/f's birthday. For a treat I took her to lunch in the '06 Monte.

RJ, tell ur GF happy bday!

Mickey, You say it took a swim... not literally, right?

Check into your intake sensors and air cleaner. Salt water tends to have funny effects on different metals, and being that ur car likely sat in a heavily salt-water-misty area for a week or more while getting boated over probably didn't fare any better than some of the stuff I've seen.

Good like hammering it out! let us know if you find the culprit!

These are fuel system cleaners not oil additives.. just about any of them will work!
