I don't know but i have the pictures in front of me and they say no way the same.. The holes on the 06 07 are straight up and down (upright.). 2000 -05 are all along the the spoiler 7 holes with one drain hole.. the surfboard are all the same 4 holes but not the same of any of the uprights.. I wish i could upload these to the forum. I can't even PM them to anyone, keep telling me file is to big, If imake them small i lose the pictures of the trunk.

I only see 4 bolts on my 06 spoiler, where are the other 3?---

I'm sorry, you said the 00-05 have 7.

After arket are the ones that might fit but you got a lot of space under them for water to collect. Dealership design have them that will fit but they are not the stock type..

Strange, another member posted that the surf board and race inspired both lined up perfect for him

GPD,
The '06/07 Montes are the ones said to have the same holes for the surfboard and stand up spoilers.

The '00/05s are different.

Buying another deck lid may the route to go but what if you have limited funding? Sure going with the different deck lid may be the correct method but not everyone has $200 - $300 or more as spare cash. I know if I were to take my car to a body shop and ask them to re-paint just the deck lid the price would be $200. I had the shop that's repaired two of my cars re-paint the hatch on the white car for me. They charged me $200 and I did all the pre-prep work for them.

you can do the body work to the deck lid easily and do it right and nobody would ever know it had a diffrent spoiler on the car.

you can even go as far as filling the holes by welding them in and it would be just like new steel in there that had never been drilled.
wither way it is cheaper to get the other style spoiler and hav eit painted and then just replace the one you have on the car once.
And then you can sell it if ya want as a painted spoiler :-)

I used to have the surf board style spoiler and bought the blade one because it obviously looks better. Had it installed by alocal body shop dude and I've had no problems. No warp, nothing.

Took him about a week to install it after having to paint it, fill the holes and repaint the entire trunk. He wouldn't tell me everything he did, ebcause it's a secret haha, but he did tell me he welded some washers into the holes that needed filling and sanded/grinded them flat, and it looks beutiful.

I had it done last year.
