The problem I have with crutchfield is they act liek evrythign there is gold. For my sub I got it in a ported box for 100 bucks back when I got it and at that time they wanted 100 bucks for just the sub. I got my sub shipped and in a ported box for 135 dollars from hifisoundconnection.com

dont have to go crutchfield. but warranties are always nice just incase. the kicker ZX500.1 that mike just listed would be a great choice! or i was gonna say alpine M500. but id choose the kicker amp since you have a kicker sub..

I had one before I got my T1500 it's a bit much for the sub you got but if u set it up right it shouldn't hurt

my friend thomas who lost his white monte due to a wreck is coming up saturday, with his new 02 black monte ss with 144k (well thats the car he says he is getting tomorrow we will c though), anyway he is bringing his alero with the setup he has and going to let me listen to it he said if i'm satisfied he will hook up the same stuff in my monte.

Yes the warranty part is a good idea. I have 2 of the 600 watt DUAL amps right now. Which would be sweet if I could hook them together. but I'm looking for something thats at least a 1000-1200 watts. It wont get used a whole lot since the car is stored winters and is basically just for a few cruises but not sur eyet still in the looking process

1000 watts RMS is a nice amount of bass.. i had 500 watts for a while and it really didnt sound like a whole lot.. you can always turn the subs down. but they can only go up so far before you blow them up..
