After 6 months, She's Legal!
Last night I talked to a my Buddy Matt, Shop supervisor at my favorite Pep Boys. He said it could take up to 150 miles for the emissions monitors to clear. And that I should take it thru inspection and let it fail so I have current paperwork. The 2 monitors were still Incomplete when I left the house. Got to motor vehicles and expected a fail. To my surprise, at the end of the inspection the guy put the below sticker on my car. Apparently, on my way to DMV, the Evaps monitor cleared. Ol Yella is now Street Legal again. I am such a happy camper. 6 months of hard work and $2500 has paid off after she failed in April!

Zach, George and Jason, Thanks! It has been a long road to recovery, but there is still a good deal of work I have to do for her. Now that I'm not concentrating on avoiding getting pulled over I can start on these other things that she needs. First thing is a Bath! She hasn't been washed since Oct 10, 2013. Now she will get All the love I've been neglecting to do. And a little Extra just cause she's my Baby!

Congrats on making her legal. It seems that in jersey you don't have to do that again for another 2 years? That's lucky. And hopefully you have a good journey on making those improvements you want

You guy don't know, or maybe you do? It still doesn't feel real, I'm still looking at it expecting the rejection sticker to Re - appear! I guess it's like when you get a new car. It takes a while before your mind excepts the Fact that it's your!!!!!
