Default 86 Value Feedback

Hi, first post for me here so giving this a shot. How can I best put a value on my 1986 Monte SS, all original, t-tops, nice shape for age and runs (idles bit high and doesn't kick down each time), but that's all I know right now--car wasn't mine to drive but been in family. I'm thinking of selling as is.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can best determine value? I see prices online for these all over the place. Any info. would be much appreciated as well as best sources to post this car to attract interest.
Thanks.

This will sound harsh but the reality is that any secondhand item is only worth as much money as someone else is willing to pay for it. You’ll get more money from a buyer for whom this car evokes nostalgia than from anyone else, and the car is far less likely to be parted out, used in a demolition derby, etc. The difficulty is finding that buyer. Posting on forums like this and on equally vehicle specific Facebook pages will go a long way toward that goal. Mind you, leads could take days or even weeks to appear. If time is an issue, list it on an auction site for 1-cent opening bid, post the link to said auction on the forums and Facebook, and cross your fingers. If you want the most money you can get out of it, don’t care about the car being parted out and you’re handy with a wrench, do that instead. Sadly, these cars are worth more in parts than complete. Then, when nothing’s left that’s worth parting, contact one of those charities that will come take your car in any condition and deduct the “donation” from your income taxes.
