6th gen. has 'water' in floor pas. side help!!

Angry 6th gen. has 'water' in floor pas. side help!!

OK nice sunny day 92* out a/c on high driving down highway for 30 miles stop at YMCA get out for 2hrs. come out an my wife opens the passenger door an yells what is in the floor?? I go over to find it SOAKED!!! i lift the floor mat out as CLAER WATER runs onto the ground the floorboard is soaked nothing else around is wet this is clear water? not anti freeze.. WATER... SO WHERE THE HE** DID IT COME FROM ?? soaked it up with some towels drove it home 30 miles with a/c on and you can hear the water splashing somthimes as the blower fan picks it up?? got home FLOOR IS SOAKED ???

Sounds like a blocked AC drain??? Maybe some one with more mech. experiance will chime in here.

That sound about right about the ac drain. remove the carpet from the passenger side and see if its coming from the firewall or from a hose, it may just be a loose clamp and an easy fix.

While it looks similar, doesn't the 6th Gen have the A/C drain closer to the bottom of the car? Mine has a (roughly) 12" hose on the passenger side that goes from an area near one of the floor vents to the floor and coming out under the car near the cat. converter.. I think that's the A/C drain. The 5th Gen looks like it comes out of the firewall directly behind the engine.

If that's the case, I would think that the hose would come off easily so that it could be unplugged..

took the DRAIN HOSE OFF it was clear so I blew some compressed air in to the hole an apairently somewhere there was a clogg ALOT of the water started poring out so I put the hose back on an we'll give it a try ...
