Default 2007 monte ss Do I need to RF shield my key fobs?

All this talk about thieves using RF boosters to steal cars, made me wonder if I need to put both my key fobs in an RF blocking device like a pouch, or tin foil? Can someone answer this question please? I have tried the internet, but I can't get a definitive answer. I'm asking before I go out and buy....if needed.
Thank you!

Im not sure what protecting your fob would prevent. In the case youre speaking, wouldnt said thieves have their own device emitting an RF to your car?

Regardless, its not something I would worry about. If someone has some device capable of unlocking/starting a vehicle, I assume they would be going after a bit more expensive car.

This is for keyless start vehicles (push-button start). Not cars with keys like we have.

If you're worried about the car getting stolen regardless the method, you could always install a hidden fuel pump kill switch. Just a simple toggle that cuts the signal to the pump relay so the car can't start.

Got it. Thanks! I was just curious about knowing if I needed to take extra security....I guess not. I have a club on my steering wheel too.
