Jiggle it up and down! sounds weird and may not be the issue but the key we got with our intrigue(also a w-body) you had to jiggle the key up and down to get all the tumblers to aline correctly becuase the key was worn down from repeated use,

As odd is it sounds, make sure the key cylinder is turned ALL the WAY to OFF. I've had some vehicles that the tumblers wore enough you could get the key close to off and pull it out (and one of those was a truck, if you pulled the key out before off, you could start the truck without the key).

Nope thats not the issue either, I called Chevy and they said I may need a new ignition cylinder or whatever... This car has become a major headache... Literally.

Well if its going to get fixed I want it done right, I don't want to be using some aftermarket ignition cylinder and some off brand keys. Thats just how I've always been, if I replace or fix something I want it done right.
