Hey guys... I'm new here, so I just wanted to say hello, and ask a quick question. I'm looking at buying a 2004 Monte Carlo SS. A mechanic friend of mine said I should avoid it because they have problems with the super charger. Just wanted some other opinions.
I currently have a 1999 Monte Carlo LS. It's been a great car...very pleased with it. It currently has 250k miles on it and still trucking!

Nothing wrong with the supercharger so long as the car has been maintained.
One additional tip to help the life of the supercharger. GM claims no need to service it. That's not true. It has an oil in it that needs changed every so often. You want the superchrager to last, take some time and change the oil in the actual supercharger now and then.

I have a 2004 supercharged ss. No problems here, and the other people I know that also have one I have never heard a complaint. They are great!
