Default Sold the Monte

Hey guys. Been a while since any posts or updates. I ended up selling the Monte. Not because i didnt like it or got bored of it, someone came by my work while i was waxing it and offered $4000...i payed $1200 for it i couldnt say no. He gave me cash and i went right out and bought a nice new car.

I thought of buying another monte carlo with less miles but my first love was a 1997 Camaro RS and i missed it. After that I had a 79 Camaro, an 88 Camaro, and after that was the Monte. Im a camaro guy i cant help it. So heres my new one. 2001 Camaro RS/Ultra Z (SLP package)

Ill still post here and there. Its a 3.8 which most of you most likely have. Its my 3rd car with a 3.8 i know tons about them. No reason i cant still give advice. Also the last 3 pictures i took the day I got it and hadnt got my hands on it yet. Its cleaner now but was practically mint when i got it. You can see in the first picture it shines nice.

Thanks man! Feels very different. I can now take sharp corners without feeling like im gonna fall out the side or have the car roll over haha. Much lower to the ground. My 97 camaro felt similar but not as nice. It had 190k on it, this one only has 119k.

Thanks everyone!

I bought it for $2600. Seemed like a steal until i realized how expensive a windshield was. It was smashed and for this particular car with special molding etc. it came to $300 however my friend got me a discount for a little over $200. On top of that it needed a new catalytic converter based on a p0420. Upon cutting it out and inspecting it we confirmed it was indeed clogged. Had a new one on ($80 magnaflow) for a few days now and no code so im completely free of the dreaded check engine light!

So that brought the car to about $3100 but even still it was a pretty good deal. This thing being a northern car must have never seen a single winter. I can literally count the spots of rust underneath on one hand. This car is immaculate!
