Did you get a COA with the car new? If not, I question if this is a true Pace Car vs the dealer bought a cheap decal package to put on a blue/silver Monte with the high sport package. Does it have the "limited edition" badge on the trunk? Does it say "Pace Car" on the passenger side of the dash? Does it have the gray bow tie on the headrest? I believe some other parts of the interior (such as the steering wheel and shift ****) were grey as well.

All I can say, I have never seen a true OEM Pace Car Monte with solid checker board decals. They were always the ones with the fade effect (not just on the ones I have seen in person, but also the sales brochure information and promo pictures). Something just does not appear right and I'd be curious the story behind it.

Maniac the car is a 100% genuine pace car from the factory.

You may be telling the truth. In all fairness I did a semi-extensive image search for a 2003 Monte Carlo Pace Car and perhaps 2 in every 10 had solid non-fading flag decals. One was even an official version at the trac all decked out in lights and additional graphics which too had the non-fading flags. Guess GM had a couple different suppliers or acceptable concepts. Show us additional pics of the car all around, inside and under the hood if you would be so kind to do so. Thanks

Looks authentic to me, but as Maniac stated, the checkers aren't factory. Maybe somewhere down the line they replaced the original decals with a new set. Nevertheless, the car still looks great. Just to be 100% sure, I would check to make sure that it says Pace Car on the passenger side glove box.
