Im curious on what others are getting for gas mileage in the 80's small block 350s?

 

this is kind of a broad question. since they didnt come with 350s and not everyone builds the same motor. i can tell you that my 406 was what i would consider a mild built sbc and with an overdrive and 3.73s i got maybe 12/13 highway if i didnt drive like a savage and 6/9 in the city. like i said i considered it mild. a bone stock 350 with fuel injection an overdrive and mild gearing could get far better.

 

Im only getting 10mpg in mine and i just feel like i should be getting atlast a little better than that, the engines only about a year old, its pretty quick though, so im curious on a few ways to maybe inprove my mileage besides laying off the gas.. i got that one down already. Lol would replacing my mechanical fuel pump make a difference?
