Thanks everyone.
zenloser- Could possible be the brickyard red. However, not single stage... Its a respray with clear coat.
Looks like it went away for the winter early this year.. thanks to hurricane sandy and now the nor'easter which didn't drop much snow... but a ton of salt.

Thanks for the comments everyone!
Believe it or not, I originally bought this car as a extra driver to keep the mileage down on my VW Jetta daily driver. Once I cleaned it up, I realized this car was one of the rare occasions "better then I thought" I put classic plates and insurance on it and its garaged under a cover. My job is actually moving 8 miles away from my house and I might get a company car... so the second car is no longer necessary
I have a 1972 Pontiac LeMans I have had since 2006. The car is in decent shape and drives, but needs a complete brake overhaul, interior work, engine/trans are getting tired... in short, needs a good 10-15 grand easy. The Monte Carlo is fine as is. Exterior is clean, interior is spotless. I'd like to drop a worked 350 or a 383 stroker with a built trans... change out the gears in the rear and call it the day. Going to set a budget of 5 grand. I will complete the work myself, as I am a former auto technican. I'm looking to start a family soon as I'm recently married, and this allows me to have my cake and eat it too. The LeMans can become a family project that will develop over the next 10 years or so.

Did some work on the Monte Carlo over Thanksgiving.
New NGK spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Car had a carburetor issue now aggrivated by the cold weather. Hadn't rebuilt a carb in years, so I bought a remanufactured OEM Rochester 2bbl. While the carb was off the car, I cleaned and painted the intake manifold alumnium/silver. Came out well, and the car runs perfect.

Hi, I’ve been wondering what my fathers 1977 Monte Carlo would be worth. I’m assuming not much due to its condition. The plate sticker date is 1991, and has been parked in the garage since. I can’t see under the car but there’s rust on the bottom of the body panels. The primer is showing through body paint in many spots. Interior is 10% torn up due to rodents, I would assum wiring may be as well. Motor may be ceased. And vinyl top is cracked and torn in a couple spots. Km unknown at the moment. I am figuring it would only be worth its weight in scrap as nit would most likely cost more to restore than it would be worth.s
