1974 Monte Carlo bought it today, loaded man
I know where this car was for 30 years but never really wanted it because for all these years I thought it was green with green interior,I stopped today because the fella was outside(it's a old service station)just to say Hi and mentioned the old Monte and he still had it in the back, out of the weather up on the old oil change pit where he parked it 30 years ago,so I went and had a look,it was not green but Burgandy with the 454(running yet 69,000 miles),trailer towing package, posi rear end, swivel seats, air conditioning, power windows and the 8-track still in it,no real rust but filthy,I asked why he parked it and basically just the price of gas in the early 90's was getting high and he planned to give it a paint job and never got around to it,I remember this car on the road back then because he sponsored my buddies race car back then but for some reason thought it was green, probably because it has 1/4 inch of dust on it and in it LOL,asked if he would sell it and he said for the right money,$8000 Canadian and I now own it,it's not even home yet it's still there with boxes all over it and stuff buried behind it,I'll post pictures soon, basically a mechanical look-over and paint job and new vinal top and I'm rolling.
