If you own a Hypertech unit I would like you guys to perform a test for me to confirm what I am seeing with mine.

Set your program to run 93 but use regular fuel. While away last week my wife used my car and filled up with regular, my average MPG's went from 24.5 to almost 27 MPG's!

This is not taking it easy on the car and is a mix of highway/city driving. I noticed a slight gain a couple of months ago when I switch to mid grade and did not change my Hypertech program but was suprised to see the results from the low grade fuel.

Post your results if and when you make the change. You should see results after a week of driving or in my case around 200 miles.

i will need to fill mine in the next day or so but i can give your the millageg per tank is right at 297 miles per tank.

but havent cheked the millage was afraid to look LOL

but when i fill i will try it and see what happens.

Also i have notcied a lag time in the tanny on mine when i shift in to gear like from rev. to drive. or drive to rev.

So i will be taking it back one more time to get them to fix this. if i cant ge tit figured out.

But i dont have to much left for warrenty it is right now at 2987,00 so i want to get it done in a hurry. So if it takes more then one trip they eat it not me /

I've noticed here lately that I have not been able to get mine in passing gear. It sounds like you might be getting a new trans huh... Lucky dawg....

that would be nice. Mine gose in to passing gear but it revs real high first then kicks in hard.

Would be nice if it would take that power and use it for going faster then wasting the gas LOL

Montejass, I have run about a 1/2 tank of Exxon 87 thru mine set on 93 and my mileage is about the same (24-25) driving like you described. I haven't gone past about 3/4 throttle yet, but so far no spark knock.
Update: I ended up with 23mpg, down from 24.5, no spark knock even at wot but didn't seem to have the hp. I switched back to the 87 setting, I'm averaging 24.3mpg and the hp is back.

with mine set on hig octane and then putting lower octane in to it the milege was the same for me.
And that was driving normal in town and also the auto bahn some but nothing to hard. around 85-95 avreage threw the hills here it is hard to keep it goign the same all the time even with the cruse but it was on threw out the test tank.

still nothing with the tranny they are saying it is me not the car, Go figure, wish there was a way to make it crap out with out them knowing i had done it so it will just go with out me having to eat the cost in a month after the warrenty gose out, That would be just my luck with it.,
