Okay, just found out that LS is the basic model 1LS is the trim package.

1LT & 3LTare trim packages for the LT model.

The LTZ model must have had the 1LTZtrim package by default.

The SSmodel comes with the 1SS package.

I don't see an LT3 model persay.

Hate to tell Rev but leather is optional on SS....and I'd take an LTZ in a minute.

I think 3LT and LT3 are being used to say the same thing. I just like the sound of LT3.
Yes i agree the LTZ is in a whole differnt Group, im just gettin at the LT3 is identical to the LTZ minus the options. As far as suspension and engine and body goes.(except the rocker panels)

You guys are too funny! No, 3LT/LT3 is not a model designation, just a trim level.

I think thispoll is a no-brainer.

Sorry, cain...maybe on the '06 SS leather was optional, but the '07 is standard. Cloth is optional.

Hmm, interesting discussion.

LT is the model, 3LT is the trim package. Allthough by Chevy's past this is kinda confuzing, it'd be like offering a SS with the 1ST package and 2ST trim package and only the 2ST trim got the V8?

I really think the 3LT trim package of the LT monte should be considered like the first step of the LTZ, because it got the 3.9, which wasn't available on any other of the LT models. But again it'd be confuzing because people would see the LTZ as the "lux" model, and not understand why it didn't get the interior options etc.

Think of the 3LT as a rare, very special model that was experimenting type thing on GM's part. If someone that was custom-ordering their Chevy in 06, they probably would have opted for the LTZ for only a few grand more, (few $s per month more, payments considered), and gotten all of the options, and that beautiful LZ9 (3.9 litres designation).
My preferences considered, the LT with the 3LT trimis a much better choice, because for one I hate leather. I hate leather in any car... even real leather... It's comfort, and the slightly betterstyle really are not something I consider, simply because the care of it is so much different. Yes it might be more resistant to staining, but have you ever had to PEEL your leg off of a leather seat on a hot and humid Iowa summer day? If no, then you haven't experienced all there is to leather seats.

Ok, maybe I'm biased because this is the car I got, but seriously folks, the LTZ's have a better resale value because what is on the market, probably wasn't a rental, because rental folks don't pay for options like what comes on the LTZs. If you found a LTZ with nothing but included options, and a base 3LT, both same miles, both owned by a person not a prior rental, you would probably be talking like 4 thousand dollars difference in the costs, simply because the 3LTs pricesare brought down by the fact that so many were rentals, even if this particular one wasn't a rental.

LT3 is not the same as an LTZ........
You can not get all the opitons on an LT3 that comes standard on the LTZ.......

You might get the 3.9L, 17 inch wheels, front fog lights and the tire pressure monitor..... in the upgrade package

THE LT3DOESGET
HEATED OUTSIDE MIRRORS
AUTO DIMMING INSIDE MIRROR
LEATHERSEATS
PREM SOUND SYSTEM WITH 8 SPEAKERS
POWER 4 WHEEL DISC WITH ABS/INCLUDES ELEC. TRACTION CONTROL
STEERING WHEEL LEATHER WAPPED WITH MOUNTED AUDIO AND CRUSIE CONTROL

NOT TO BE MEAN BUT THE ONES THAT THINK THE LT3 IS AN LTZ YOU GUYS ARE TRYING TO HIT THE BALL IN THE WRONG PARK........

AS I STATED BEFORE....... I STILL WOULD HAVE MADE THE CHOICE IF 2007 HAD AN LTZ MODEL....... YOU JUST CANT BEAT THE DEAL.........

ONLY 3 OPITIONS YOU CAN GET FOR THE LTZ

SIDE AIR BAGS
SUNROOF
6 CD CHANGER
BY THE WAYJUST TO LET YOU KNOW,THE ABOVE 3 ARE OPTIONS ON ALL THE OTHER MODELS AS WELL
