If I didn't buy the Monte, I would have bought the Mini. Its an awesome car!

(Just Mia's car seat prolly wouldn't fit.)

I'm pretty close to the 36k mile marker and I've never noticed brake dust on the outside of my wheels, only time I've ever seen any is when I've rotated tires and cleaned out the insides, and there was not all that much there, came off pretty easily with water and some scrubbing action from my fingers. Still OEM pads. I have much more of a problem with regular dust building up from gravel roads, especialy on that back bumper...

Hi Garrett,
How do your brake pads look at 36K ?
Take some pic's of your Monte, and share them with the members.
I hope that you will be able to make a sound clip of your
Monte when you put on your flowmasters.
Good Luck 2 U,
Thanks for posting your information.

How long should brake pads last on average?

I think we will all have to wait until the end of August, when I make it to college for a sound clip, I'm working at my Uncle's place all summer and this is just 56kbs dial-up, but I guess it's faster than the 26kbs I've got at home. It takes forever to upload anything decently sized.

It depends how you drive. People with a light foot can make them last 35 to 45k miles.

Wiz should know best.

....and I've seen poor drivers change them every 10 to 12k miles.

(p.s., I used to work in brake shop in my younger days.)

Wow 10-12K miles! JEEZ what are they mario andretti? LOL....I was just curious did we confirm that the 06-07's have ceramic pads? I do know they have dual piston front calipers now and the older models didn't.
