I gave my new '07 MC SS a rating of 10. I've only had it for a week, but so far it has been awesome. It is comfortable to drive & has a very respectable amount of power & torque. This I should know coming from a modded'05 Corvette with 440 ponies under the hoodThough I loved the Vette, the Monte is a much better all around daily driver. And one BIG time refreshing thing is that, so far, my new SS has not had one squeak, squeal or rattle. Unfortunately the Vette was plagued with them, which was not something I was too thrilled with considering I paid in the mid 50K range for the car. I do notplan to much in the way of performancemods with the MC, other than a drop in K&N air filter (already done). For appearance mods Ihave done window tint & have my eyes on a couple differentaftermarket wheels.

Cheers,
Glenn

All I can do is echo most of what Glen posted.
When we took my '06 LTZ to Michigan it was great. It handled great, the mileage was great and the comments were great.

Several peoplesaid I should tint the windows. (not realsure if I am but considering it)

One thing I'm really up for is the duel racing stripes like Glen's car. I think it looks cool. (and since we both own Galaxy Silver Montes his car gives me an idea of how my car would look)

Would anyone mind posting what the K&N drop-in filter number is so I can locate one?

RJ,
Thanks for the complimentsI agree, the stripes are cool. Today I got high praise onmy SS from a Corvette owner. He thought the Monte was pretty "tight." In fact he'd been talking about getting an F150 truck to use as a daily driver instead of his Corvette & once he say my SS he said he might have to rethink that & go for an SS instead!
As far as tint I would definitely go for it. It looks totally awesome onthe silver car. I will take new pics that show the tint on my car so you can see for yourself.
Sorry Idon't have the K&N filter number handyfor he LTZ but I just got mine out of the K&N manual at my local AutoZone parts store.I'm sure the LTZ part number is in there as well.
Oh yeah & just to stay on topicI stillrate my MC a 10[sm=signs007.gif]

Cheers,
Glenn

I gave mine an 8 right now but that is just cuz I needed to bring it to the body shop to get repair estimates. Some not so nice person decided that it would be funny to shot a BB at my C pillar. Now I have a nickle sized paint chip right behind the driver's door. Once it is fixed, It'll be at least a 9.

Mods are listed below, more to come soon.

Thanks again the information Glenn.
Could we just trade cars? [sm=lol.gif]

Say if you haven't considered them already, the sill covers are a great way of dressing up this area of your Monte. I put a st on my Monte and I like them. [sm=smiley20.gif]

Cheers,
Glenn

PS: Still a 10!
