I think that the Racer's in this thread have avoided a re-match `Race

Yes, Maybe they don't want to deceive the MCF with action or proof ?

Risk management is the method of assessing risks, prioritizing them and then taking the necessary measures to avert the risk or minimize the losses that the racers might have to incur if the risk is taken. Sometimes the losses are too huge, because of which the risk may not even be taken all together. A racer generally faces risk because of one or more decision that it takes or strategies that it implements. No strategy or decision is ever completely free of risks and there is always some risk that comes attached to it. There are also many benefits attached to a decision, but in case the damage that the racers may have to face due to the risk outweighs the benefits completely, the racer may avoid taking the risk and the method of risk racing is known as risk avoidance. Risk avoidance is a popular method of risk racing and is also the most efficient method involved because there would no damage incurred if the strategy is not implemented at all.' One should not claim something that they can not prove I must depart this thread & go on recharge...I shall return & hope I find a future Race date/time & place...
Peace/Out

Hi Member's,
I'm sorry I have wasted your time `if you are still reading this thread.

I was only trying to dispute a claim that a Ford Edge could beat a Supercharged Monte Carlo in a 1/4 mile.
At this point, I don't care anymore & I get learning so much about people on the web & about their character & their posted words.

I shall cease to post & request proof of this claim & just make it another lesson in life. I guess `if you do avoid the question of proof that it will just fade away.

Thanks for the lessons... I depart in peace, but in total

THE `End
Peace/Out

The best that CarSort.com could put down for an Edge SE is a 0-60 time of 8.1 seconds and a 1/4 mile time of 16.6. An '04 Monte Carlo put down a 0-60 time of 6.5 seconds and a 1/4 mile time of 14.9. If these vehicles rolled up beside each other at the tree with professional drivers behind the wheel I don't think the Edge would have a chance. JMO...

...which is closer at 0-60 in 6.6 and the 1/4 mile in 15.1 but still a tad bit slower. The Edge would have to get a pefect launch (and the driver of the Monte asleep at the switch) in order to nose out the Monte.

Stock they run high 14s all day. mid-15 is closer to a basic bolt on N/A.

Your dragstrip must not be in a great area, or the driver's are terrible.
