Default changing cabin filter

There is a "how to change the air cabin filter" in this section. It is really easy. Pop the hood open.......remove the plastic panels below the windshield....work around the wiper fluid hose........and the filter should be visible. Before replacing; you may want to clean this area out real good. The new filter will be a tight fit but it will go in. Be Pateint.
Good luck.

Change my filter today...had the same problem with water intake. Weather stripping was completely off sitting on top of the filter area. Not sure if I put it on the right way though (might have put it on upside down lol.) We'll find out...really easy job.

Funny I should find this thread. I was doing some overdue maintenance and this was on the list. I pulled the cover and lo and behold, no filter was installed!

I had a water leak also. I changed the filter and cleaned everything out.It still leaks. Is there supposed to be a plastic piece the filter goes in? It appears there is but nothing is there.

I HAVE seen another piece that the Impala owners put over it to help against leaks, i believe.
Sorry i don't know what that piece is called though.
