Nice practical mod to get done for your Monte's tranny. WOW a whole month to get your new pan? Thats a bit much, but heh you did get her, yeah!

I got mine from ZZP maybe a week, maybe two after the order. I'm sure they had a LOT of orders to fill from Black Friday and limited staff to do it with. At least it arrived before the new year.
I'm kinda anxious to get mine on the Monte (wish I had it last year when I did a fluid/filter change out).

Drain plug kits are a lot cheaper. If you're looking to cool fluid temp just go to the wrecking yard and get a pan and pickup tube. Cut equal length sections of the pan and pickup tube out and make a deep sump pan. The additional fluid quantity will lower the temp more than those fins will even on their best day.

I've heard some people say those kits are prone to leaking (but I honestly never used one, never researched it).
I agree, adding your own drain plug is by and far the cheapest method for ease of fluid changes, I admit, I just could not help myself here. I got the aluminum pan for 30% off on Black Friday, I liked the idea of a drain plug, and added bonus between the aluminum material and the cooling fins, the fluid should stay cooler a tad cooler then normal (but I understand and read prior information it's not a huge amount cooler).
I was tempted to get a donor trans pan and actually weld in a nut for a drain plug, I just couldn't help myself.
But, you are right, there are a couple cheaper ways to have a drain plug on the pan.

i as well bought this on zzp black friday but i was one of the lucky ones to get 50% off i feel this is better than trying to install a drain plug into the factory pan even though it does cost a little more having it be aluminum and have cooling fins is worth it especially at this awesome price we got ours for. i am also adding a 1" trans pan spacer along with this to help with cooling
i cant believe it took this long, i got mine exactly a week after i placed my order lol
