ZZP Powerlog

ZZP Powerlog
Will putting the ZZP Powerlog on a stock 3800 N/A engine gain me anything? I've heard that if a N/A breathes too much it will hurt the performance. In theory it should work great, I just want someone else's opinion on it before I make any decisions.
Thanks

There has been nothing but good things said about the powerlog. A lot of members have them and have recommended them. The front exhaust header on our cars is very restrictive and the powerlog will allow it to flow freely. It is recommended that you pair it up with a downpipe and high flow cat to get the most out of it.
Keep in mind you may want to get the inside of the powerlog ceramic coated, or buy a coating to prevent blueing as the high temps will cause the finish to eventually break down.

I have a Power Log on my Monte, but for me, it was part of a larger mod formula. As I understand, yes you will yield an improvement from it. It's a mod that works on it's own or a supporting mod to a larger list.

Alright, thanks guys. I'm not too worried about the finish of it. So I don't think ceramic coating it will be necessary. I've considered getting the high flow cat with the downpipe too but I don't want it to throw the O2 code. I don't know of anywhere around here that can delete it from the pcm for me. If I decide to get it I'll let you guys know how it turns out.

I have heard they can get a little droney, but I never heard an NA with headers. Usually only the boosted guys.

i feel if your not putting a down pipe on the car then dont waste money on a plog. the absolute most restricting part of our exhaust is the "U bend" at the end of the down pipe, if thats still there the plog will do nothing for you.
headers will work on a N/A car but dont go bigger than 2.5" exhaust as 3" will loose some power unless you have boost.
