Default At wits end

I have a 96 with a 3.1, it won't start in the cold, but I have replaced the ignition module. It ran all day, sat all night, no start. replaced the spark plugs ran all day, sat all night, no start. I am baffeled any Ideas?

I would think it is like a bad cell in you car battery or a bad alternator go by Auto Zone and see they will check it for free if you have one close by or Napa they will do it for free also my guess is a bad cell in your car battery though

Sorry 2 read about your problem...When it does not start (is it cranking & just won't fire ?)....

Have you tried taking `off a plug wire to see `if it's getting spark ? Please post as much infor as possible about your problem, because all we have is your posted words to be able to make suggestions on what may be wrong...

Default It rolls

rolls and rolls but no start, seems to get fuel, no problem when tthe temp is above 50 but below that no start.

Default the lowdown

it seems to get spark and fuel, fuel pressure is at 41lbs and there is spark. maybe electrical?

Car needs 3 basic things to start/run, air-fuel-spark. You say it's getting fuel and spark, how about air? Is the air filter plugged up?

Now, the other thought, i think Blazed mentioned was battery/alternator. Maybe even corrodoed connections on the started/alternator.

When it does NOT start, does it sound like the starter is doing anything? What do you do to finally get it to start? If you say "jump start the car", I would immediately suspect battery or corroded connections.

I'm not sure if a fuel pump failure is possible in cold weather. I'm not sure if GM has this on all cars (or where it is on other cars), but my '94 Grand Am has a "test" lead. All you have to do is jumper the test lead to the positive connection on battery and you should hear the fuel pump "hum", which is a simple check that it's working.

Sounds like a bad battery to me. Have you had the battery tested?
