That is alot of miles and adding any power adders WILL reduce the life of the engine. These days who knows what the life span will be before problems though... I've heard of 3800 hitting 600,000 miles already with no real problems.

I guess I would expect problems if you add a turbo and more so with nos. The reason is that a turbo has a gradual power curve to it where NOS doesn't.

what kind of car are we talking about? yeah but with that many miles i would be worried. its pretty high milage to be putting that kind of strain on it... and after investing all that money on a turbo it would be a shame for it to die... i would think about finding a newer block to rebuild or atleast have the money ready to if somethign does fail... but i would deff go turbo over nos. you get more power and its safer. and your not refilling a bottle. one of my fav quotes is... " real men dont need a bottle... they go out and get blown!"

i can see your point phoenix but my understanding of NOS is that the nos regulator only sends enough nos to accompany the fuel...If you get nos or a turbo installed on your car, any car you would want to get the computer retuned at a dyno shop... nos is really dangerous to your car if you have it wired to a switch... anymore, nos is typiclly installed and wired via the throttle position sensor, so the nos only sprays when the car is at WOT...

the prob with NOS is that the boost in power is very sudden and that shock to the bottom end and trany will do major damage.

turbos put a lot of stress by them selfs on stock drive train and trany let alone doing nos too.
