Okay guys cool so basically what I mean is I'd like to cam my car in say the next 2 weeks and then when I do turbo I will upgrade to the stattima and upgrade everything but for now I'd rly like to get a nice easy cam in, what do you guys thing of the Zzp GT camshafts? Comp Cams - GT Camshafts #

By the looks of it this will be a fairly smooth cam on the tranny for now and I figure I will upgrade my pushrods and to 130 springs for when this is thrown in, is this all I'm going to need to simply change to this cam do I need the 67 injectors after or headwork like I'd like to just be able to throw in a cam for now

I wouldn't use the GT Cam if you plan on boosting.

That's more just for staying NA

are you planning on the gt1 or gt2 camshaft? either will suit you well for a N/A car untill you turbo but the gt camshafts are junk for a turbo build. you dont need head work for either one of the gt camshafts, once again u need to buy the camshaft and check valve lash to see if you need different length pushrods with i highly doubt you will. upgrading pushrods are not necessary in my eyes, but you can do if it it makes you feel better. get 130# springs just to be safe with any of the gt or turbo cams you decide on. your stock injectors should be fine for just a cam but it will need tuned for the cam.

my honest opinion save your money and get the turbo kit and drive it like that, then do trans, then cam the engine etc. a N/A car even with a cam will be slow (stock sc cars will still beat you) zzp is saying 20-30HP gain but thats at the crank not the wheels so honestly its not going to be hardly noticeable IMO.

awesome! you shouldnt need to cut up anything, the intercooler just screws to the inner bumper with the brackets and the intercooler fits behind the inner bumber perfect. as for the intercooler piping ask kevin to clock the turbo so the charge pipe off of the turbo to the intercooler goes down by the ac condenser (instead of through the fender well) and then the only charge pipe that will run through the fender well is the one that goes from the intercooler to the intake. i think its a little upgrade in price but well worth it!

o yea i just was thinking, you will need a double roller timing chain as well for this setup and also you will need the milled oil pump cover for clearance and its a good idea to get the gears milled so they fit true to the block so it dont stress the chain.....

Hey thanks man yea the UIM is getting sprayed black but with red details like along the viens of the UIM and the slots gna be mean and the throttle body will be done red, and thanks man yea the double roller is one I knew I have to get allrdy that is on the list man,

So new question for ya now lmao sorry man has to do with what setup u used for your MAF? I figure since eventually once I turbo I will need to upgrade to a new MAF. So basically see a couple otions whatever you ended up doing and ur opinions greatly appreciated man as I don't know much about these MAFs so the first Is the zzp adapter haness and using the LQ4 MAF how does it read anything it says have to block off original maf hole where does this get mounted or does it have to go inside of a extra piping unit attached to the throttle body to read like the other kit they sell?
And that's the other option I was thinking of the gm 85mm maf kit they sell with the tubing allrdy to go and use would this be a better option for my build?

You can use the stock maf and get the afc from Zzp. Easiest solution in my eyes. Upper intake sounds like its gonna look awesome I can't wait to see pics!
