Trans - Thrasher or ZZP
I own a 2003 Monte Carlo SS and I'm in the process of shopping for a trans and really looking at Thrasher, but not set on them yet. I'm going to get the stage 2 axles from ZZP regardless. But I'm on the fence about which trans to buy, the car has a turbo and intercooler it needs to be bullet proof because it will have upwards of 20psi and I dont want to have problems all the time. If anybody can give me some info on ether would be very helpful in making my decission thanks.

Not sure it REALLY matters. Each high performance transmission is custom built to your spec's anyways. Just depends on what you want and how deep your pockets are.
ZZP doesn't do their transmissions in house, but has a local tranny builder "Steve" do it for them.
I would think thrasher and Intense are the same, as well as all the other aftermarket houses.
Check out some of the others, like triple edge.

I thought thrasher closed their shop- maybe they're still running out of their house?
Anyways, I wouldn't buy parts from a place that hasn't had involvement in the community in years and years- didn't their cage car only run 12's?
At least with ZZP, they have a lot of high power customers and they have their own record setting cars running their transmissions.
Honestly, a lot of places can build a 4t65, a lot of it has to do with the parts you put into it. I don't care how good the builder is- if you put weak hard parts in there, its still not going to live. It just helps going with a place like TEP or ZZP in that they can reccomend the exact parts you'll need to stand up to your power level.
What is wrong with your stock axles?

I'm also looking at just buying the parts from ZZP because I can get another tranny core in a heartbeat for rediculous cheap and save some $ hopefully.

i have a buddy with a 2002 bonnaville making 359 hp with zzp stage 2 axle btw. last year he took it to the track and done a burn out in the water box, guess what happen? his zzp axle snapped. he took it to the transmission shop and show them his stock axle and zzp axle the shop told him both axle are the same and nothing special on the zzp axle.
