ZZP Shift Kit or Thrasher Shift Kit

ZZP Shift Kit or Thrasher Shift Kit
In shopping for a shift kit only 2 vendors on the market seem to be able to deliver a shift kit to the 3800 market. Thrasher from www.thrashercharged.com or ZZP from www.zzperformance.com The Thrasher kit sells for $90 the ZZP kit for $30. I've not been able to find ONE review from a 3800 owner on the Thrasher kit, probably because Thrasher is a smaller company and not as many people use their product. The ZZP kit on the otherhand has about 20 reviews, most people seemed pleased with it, but I think they were running boosted setups. There were still a few reviews with the ZZP kit that mentioned they felt no difference in shift firmness at all. I'm not sure if the Thrasher kit is more expensive because maybe they make less of them, and whenever there is fewer of something it's more costly, or maybe it's actually that much better? This shift kit would not be used for drag applications, I just want something to make my daily driver more fun to drive, and possibly a bit quicker.

You do have another option- buy the fluid/filter/gasket from your local parts store and buy the shift kit parts yourself (its just 4 metal spacers)- its a regular item at some hardwares, or you car order from a place like mcmaster carr. There is a thread on clubgp about exactly which dimension spacers to get- and you can tailor their thickness to how hard you want the shift kit.
