well I guess its out with the old and rebuilt the one in the car at this time out of options driving 4 wheel drive 2004 chevy 3/4 ton chevy truck back and fourth to daytime job 25.00 a day in gas doesn't get 24 mpg like the monte.I'm told 1000.00 to rebuild and new converter.and for those who may encounter this in the future.only a transmission from a 2006 monte or impala ss will work.When I get it out I will get the exact information on why no other years will work and post it.

 

well got the transmission apart today looks like the convertor came apart sending debre through the tranny better convertor is instore new radiator and a few heavy duty part.

 

Well got car back together today went with external trans cooler instead of new radiator (better cooling and cheaper) just couldn't throw away a good radiator.I guess we will see how well it holds up.
