hi guys new to the forum and need alittle advice, i just got a 2003 monte carlo ss a few days ago that i got pretty cheap because the trans needed some work, it is coming up with a p0742 code that states something about the tcc clutch solenoid being stuck in the on position, the car drive great except it will rough shift at times,now would i need to have the trans rebuilt? or just replace the solenoid? and what the average it would cost to fix it?, i have about $400 to invest in it,lmk

thanks man, i tried the seafoam trans tune and code 0742 went away and i have no harsh shifts anymore so keeping fingers cross
