Smile Timing

How to check the timing on a 2005 Monte Carlos V6 3400?

my car does not want to start. It sounds like it's turning but doesn't completely rollover. When I am stopped at a red light it dies on me. I have 104000 miles on it I have had my spark plugs and wires changed and that did not help. I have put in STP twice and tonight when I filled up I put in another treatment that will help evaporate water. Hopefully that will help.

Julie:

What seems to be the issue your having with it that you suspect its a timing issue? Maybe its possibly a crank sensor? Does it start run? does it run poorly? Or doesn't it start at all?

These cars have computer controlled timing. Nothing to adjust. These cars do not have anything to mechanically adjust.
If timing is off, there is a problem and it's not an adjustment.
What is the situation prompting your to want to check/adjust the timing.
