Looking at swapping out my th350 to 700r4.
I know I need a 3" shorter driveshaft.

Anyone know what cars I can get a driveshaft out of that will be a good fit or I can shorten?
Chevelle? El camino?

I want to keep my original driveshaft and tranny in case I decide to go back.

I gotta be straight with you...
I'm not sure there is a straight up swap from one trans to the other...
I do know the 700r trans is longer so you will definitely need a shorter drive shaft possibly have to have one custom made... Heres a company that does just that! Or possibly find out what other make model year will work for your swap!

I went to bowtieoverdrives and put a 700R4 in my 70 Chevelle SS 396 ...been in there 12 yrs now,they have all the parts you need.just get another drive shaft made and keep the orig,thats what i did.

 

drive shaft is killing me, no clue how I'm suppose to make it work but my animal is almost ready. any suggestions on my drive shaft problems

 

find a driveshaft shop or contact the company I put in chat to get one.
