I just got my Monte Carlo about a week and a half and I was wondering what the normal temp range is for these cars is. Mine goes a little past the half way mark before the fan ever kicks on. I that normal for these cars? What I'm asking is where does it run when going down the road and how far does it go up before the fans kicks on? Dont they kick on around 220? Thanks in advance.

Sounds about right.. Not sure exactly when the fans turn on but halfway up the gauge is around 200ish..

 

Sounds pretty normal, since you don't know the history of the car you can get a coolant flush for peace of mind.

 

If I remember the fan map right low speed is 205 and high is 215/ac on (pressure number I can't remember)
