Ok guys can some1 please tell me if i should be able to hear ne thing when i put my ear right to the engine . (knocking tapping)

 

i wouldn't worry about it unless there is anything audible when standing in front of the engine, whether that's at idle or under power.

i'm assuming you have an L36 3800?

 

There's no l32 6th gen? There the l36 and the l67 witch is the supercharged version I have the l32. You can check my Monte on YouTube type in 01blazedss

It should be fine these engines are known for slight tap noise that's why they come with the engine cover, to help decrease the sound being heard. You should look up the origin of the 3800 it's quite interesting, it started off as a poor v8 design
