Default Swapping L67 in.. Buick PCM?

If I swap an L67 into an 02 Monte.. but the drivetrain and PCM is from a Park Ave Ultra... am I going to run into problems? I know I will have to do the Passlock re-learn because the PCM and BCM won't match. But will the PCM speak nice to the rest of the Class 2 wiring in the car? Cluster, etc.

The long version.. I have a 2000 Cavalier convertible, with the drivetrain (L67 & 4T65E-HD) from a 2000 Buick Park Avenue Ultra shoehorned into it. I have had nothing but electrical issues from the get go, with the yaw sensors and all not in the car, airbags not working right, etc. Plus, the Buick cluster is f'n boring.. so I wanted the MC cluster with the boost gauge (from an 04). I found a 2002 MC SS at the wrecker yard and pulled the entire wiring harness. I plan on swapping the whole harness over the winter (engine will be coming out for some upgrades... cam, heads, I/C, etc), and I'm an electrician by trade so wiring doesn't scare me off. Effectively, it'll be a Buick drivetrain with Monte Carlo wiring in a Cavalier body.

So all I really need to know is.. will the PCM work as programmed.. or will I have to finally figure out how to use my PowrTuner to reflash my own PCM to the MC program.

I'm pretty sure you would need to use an 02 Monte bin file so that you can have the airbags and transmission and everything, but the Monte would need to have some of its file from an 04 where they came with the L67.

There are things called hybrid bin files that people create, check out some tuning forums and see if you can land a hybrid.

i tried to pm you but look like it won't let me. anyway if i remember correctly if you want the boost guage in the monte to work you need to use the computer off the L67 monte. i doubt the computer off the park ave will work cuz it's set up different. i have guage cluster and pcm off my 04 mc if you interest. the pcm just need to reflash back to stock. zzp screwd up tuning it. they said they will reflash it if i send to them. that was about 5 years ago. im sure they will still do reflash it back. LMK.

I already have a cluster from an 04 MC SS, thanks tho.

Looks like the pcm I'm currently using is an OSID 9384013. And unique to just that model and year... figures. I'll have to find a compatible OSID for the 04 MC SS program... I've got some J-body pcm's here, maybe I'll try flashing them.. if I brick them, no big loss.
