Pontiac 97-03 is gen 3 blower altho the 97 does have an extra vaccuum port on it. If you are going to use it for your Monte or 98-03 Pontiac then you will have to block off that port. As for any other 3800 series II I would say around 98 to 03 (Buick, Bonnivilles etc) and Montes 04-05.
