I just checked fuel pressure at the port on the regulator, was 40 psi. with key on motor off held for 5 min. and strted to drop went to 40psi. in ten min. With motor running pressure was at 46 psi. I took vacum hose off of regulator and pressure shot up to 56 psi.????? I also unplugged maf before pressure test and car was still hard to start made no difference.....

Thanx
Mine does exactly the same (2001 SS 3.8L 86K mi), I had it checked, got NEW Crankshaft Position Sensor, NEW MAF, NEW spark plugs & wires, checked fuel pump and pressure and everything is pretty fine. But the problem remains when restarting it on operating temperature. I was told maybe the TPS would be the problem. Any help here? Don't want to continue spending and having the problem unsolved.
