Squeaky belt

Squeaky belt
I have a 2006 V8 SS and the belt has started to squeak. I currently have almost 70,000 on the car and the squeaking is getting worse. I used belt spray and as soon as I use it, it stops the squeak right away. But then 10 minutes later the squeak always comes back. The belt has never been replaced, but it looks like new. When I drive the car, it drives perfectly fine, but I don’t know what to do about the squeak.
Should I replace the belt? Or could it be something other than the belt causing the problem?

I would do this, and then while the belt is off, spray both sides of it down real good with some belt dressing. Let it sit for a min, and then remove the excess with a rag. Try that and see if it fixes it. If one of your pulleys is noises, it could be that, and not the belt at all. But since you say belt dressing seems to quiet it down, maybe if you get a good coat and let it soak in while the belt is off the car, that may help.

Ok, so I didn't get a chance to do anything yet, when yesterday, I got home from a short trip and I smelled Anti-freeze. I popped the hood and there was Anti-Freeze splashed everywhere. Then what was left of it leaked out completely. I dropped it off at the Chevy dealer overnight and today I found out it was a water-pump. So I got the water-pump fixed under my extended warranty. I had to pay extra for a new belt and a flush of the coolant system. But the problem is solved now.
I'm really dissapointed in this car because water-pumps shouldn't go out in under 70,000 miles. This is the 12th time I had to leave my car in the shop for a warranty issue. Thank God I got an extended warranty. It has more than paid for itself. Sad to say it, but I don't think I will ever buy another GM product again.
1. Replaced passenger side airbag sensor
2. Replaced tire pressure sensor
3. Replaced 2nd tire pressure sensor
4. Replaced plastic **** that lets seat forwards and backwards
5. Replaced switch that controls driver's side window
6. Replaced body control module
7. Replaced something electrical in the ignition (don't remember what the part was)
8. Had to get $1000 woth of stuff fixed with the front end suspention
9. Replaced tire hub bearings
10. Replaced power steering hose or pump (whichever one it was, it was covered under warranty)
11. Replaced factory alarm system because the original one was defective.
12. Replaced water pump.
