Default Squeaky Interiors

[:@]AAARRRGGGHHH!!!Does anyone else have this problem? The door panels and center console in my '05 LT are exceptionally squeaky. I have tried spraying a spritz of silicone lubricant under the window control bezel, didn't really work. Anyone have this problem and can offer me soome suggestions?

On another note, How in the world to you get the door panels off of a 6th gen Monte?!?!?!?! I cannot figure it out. I wanted to paint the window control bezels silver to match the door handle bezels I painted a while back, but couldn't figure out how to get them off without also taking off the door panel.

I am perplexed and seeking solutions!!

I got the same problem with my driver's door panel.
Squeeks every time I put my arm on it.
I vaguely remember someone here a long time ago, suggesting some electrical tape between the plastic door panel and the metal door. Never got around to doing it.

As for getting the door panel off. If memory serves me correctly, there's a few screws you gotta remove around the grab handle area. Then it's a matter of VERY CAREFULLY pulling the door panel off a little bit at a time. They use those plastic pins with the serrated edge to hold it on. I think that's all there is. Someone please correct me if I'm forgetting something.

mine dont squeek LOL
the only thing i have going for me with it right now after all of the rest of the crap this year LOL

Ok to get the pannels off.
1. bow to Might Mickey!!
2. GEt a beer.
3. take the screw off that is up on the top behind the miror.
4. in the middel of the door pannel are two torx scews ya need to take those out.
5. get another beer.
6. Verry carefully fromt eh bottom of the door pannel get something in there behind the pannel if you have never had them off it can be difficult.
but a butter knife or something like a putty knife etc...
Then pry out wards on it. to ge tthose clips there.

then the whole pannel should work off carefully . This will allow you to get yor hands around it and pull it off.

OH ALSO DONT FORGET THE SCREW IN THE DOOR HANDEL ON TEH INSIDE ALSO HAS TO COEM OFF!!!!

i haen't had the problem.. but if there is something metal on metal, it will squeak lot. just put some rubber or tape in between it and that should put an end to it.

LOL!!! PWNAGE!!

but if there is something metal on metal, it will squeak lot.
It's just plastic on plastic. Hmmm... I will try the electrical tape fix. Hopefully it still sticks considering I sprayed silicone lube onto the panel!
