Default Spark plug wires

Does any one know the what part number for new MSD spark plug wires we use for a 2007 monte carlo ss with the ls4 engine? Also does anyone have any thoughts on the MSD wires vs the Granatelli wires?

If they're anything like any other GM wires- OEM is your best bet. OEM ignition systems aren't nearly as weak as way back in the day- they are very potent, and reliable to maximize power, reduce emissions, and get scheduled maintenance up to 100k miles like everything else.

I'll be honest- I don't know as much about the LSx wires- but I'd assume they're of the same level of quality as the slightly older GM stuff. No sense in spending big money on aftermarket plugs, coils, and wires when OEM stuff does just fine for 99% of people out there- especially when aftermarket reliability is lower than OEM (look at the people who have had problems with MSD coil packs and wires on 3800's).

IMO, if you want more power from your LS4- I'd be looking around for a set of used DT headers, or start working on an intake manifold swap (to an LS6 or something similar).

I think your right thank you:-) Headers are the way I would reather go, but the DT headers are so expensive and are a lot of work to put in.

The intake manifold swap (to an LS6 or something similar), is also a good idea, do you know of anyone that has done this and how much work is it to do?

Are you on ls1tech? Go on their forums in the LS4 specific section- I think they've got a group buy going on the DT headers right now (for a good deal less than the normal $1k retail).

Also, search for intake swaps on there- there have been quite a few that I've seen. There are some complications to deal with (one being the OPSU fitting that is just under the inlet part of the intake)- but from what I had been reading, there seemed to be solutions to all the major issues with an intake swap.
