The other thing is to add a add-on tranny cooler.It helps keep the temps down.Might want to add a tranny temp gauge as well.

Haven't been on this site in forever, so I might be rusty, but I remember reading that transmission coolers on modern cars are kinda worthless. There's a plastic fin or plate like thing under the front of the car, if I recall right this thing deflects air up into the engine and transmission area to cool it down, and if you're using Dex VI, your tranny should be kept even cooler.

However, a transmission cooler might be a good idea if you're planning on taking it to the drag strip regularly.

I disagree. There is already a tranny cooler in with the radiator, and heat really isn't a big killer of these transmissions- its the hard parts and chain. It might be different if you lived in the mountains or were towing or if you were dragging it frequently with a high stall converter- but for normal use, they're unnecessary IMO. The big parts that break while racing are hard parts and the chain. Not to mention you're adding extra crappy connections to leak.
