The pattern I posted and the torque spec are straight from the GM shop book.

I hope all comes together correctly. Sounds like you're getting there though.

Ok we got her put all back together. Everything seems to be good, except she is ideling real high. She was occasionally doing this prior to this problem but now it's all the time. Not sure if we missed something.....Do you have any ideas?
This took us much longer then expected and a bunch of aggravation later we feel good about it. We appreciate all your help!!!

 

Just so it's seen, my suggestion in your new thread is check for vacuum leaks. Using a can of starting fluid and mist it around all vac connections and seals, listen for a change in idle.

 

AMEN!!! Had one of the spark plug wires wrong, she is purring like a kitten!!!

Sorry, have one more question. Seem to have just a slight miss causing my check engine light to flash, onstar says its a misfire. Checked the spark plugs again everything seems to be good. Any ideas?

 

Are you using Bosch plugs instead of AC Delco?

 

yes, that is what was originally in the car. just had them changed for the first time before all this happened. they said the wires were still good. i know the wires are and pretty sure the spark plug are too.

 

Bosch are known to not work great with W-Body cars.

Your problem could just be those plugs...
