You need the Good Lord to Miracle that thing in there for you ... or else trying to put a round peg into a square hole is going to become one of those projects that you Budget $1,000.00 and 10 Days to get done. Then, after a month and losing count of how much you are putting into it ... you get discouraged and start parting it out to try to get some cash back.

the best way and budget wise way would be to get a full drop out setup. IE: 5.3 complete with tranny and harness and CRADLE. from a monte or impala. i have done a lil research on this and since i work at a body shop i have access to a few useful resources such as a mitchel crash bookwhich lists alot of parts in a breakdown system and according to what i have found out the craddle is different hwo exactly i have not got arround to finding out what the main structure of the car is the same it would be just the need of the harness and various hoses and and complete cradle up package with the 5.3 but should be able to be done with off the shelf parts for the 06-07 monte or impala

I'm putting-in a few hours, each week, splicing and heat-shrinking connections on harnesses and wiring-up accessories at Classic AutoBody and Restorations in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.
This place restores Muscle-Cars. Right now, its filled with GTO's. The guy who we are restoring an Old Goat for, brought one in that looked like he did the Junk Yard a favor having it picked-up and hauled-out of the place. I saw then separate the Body from the Frame, send-out the Frame for sand blasting and painting, cut-out body panels, floors and inside metal structure, weld-up the new metal and start making it a car again. The guy movers show-up and take the Engine and Tranny away. It came-back ready to drop-in and do low-E-T's.
I guess if you have the MONEY ... You can put what-ever into a what-ever and make it go! I'll take some pix and show you the Goat. You'll faint!

Hey JGargano03,
I 3/4 of the way done putting a 5.3 out of an 06 MC SS and the difficult part is finding all the wiring. Try going to MORAD Parts and talking to Eric he's been a great help in me aquiring all the parts I've needed.
