Default Putting another engine in my monte. What should I replace?

All,

I have to replace the used engine that I put in the car back in 2010. So, this time I found a V6 with 76k miles on it. What should I replace besides wires and plugs?

Thanks for the help guys.

Really depends on your budget.

Serp belt and tensioner pulley, O2 sensor would be a great idea. Might be a good idea to be proactive on the LIM gaskets if you're buying an older used motor with plastic gaskets rather than 06+ with metal.

Lim gaskets are a good idea while the engine is out. Also put in metal coolant elbows. Change front seal for piece of mind if you want along with oil pan gasket. Crank and can sensor if you want since there easy to get to with the engine out.

you can get those at o'reily's or autozone for like $8. they are in the "HELP!" section, red package, and the EXACT same as what you referenced.

i would do the head gaskets, and head bolt set as well, and i prefer Victor Renz brand myself. i would also do the stud set from ZZP instead of bolts.

if you do that you also have to do the rocker bolts as well. get the reusable ones from ZZP.

replace the valve cover gaskets, you do NOT want an engine fire from the crappy valve cover gaskets that come on these cars.
