Default PCM Tunning help!!!

Alright guys i have a 2001 Monty SS n/a and just want to know i got a local guy here were i live that would do my tunning for 210. so what i want to know is it worth the 210 to do the custom tuning rather than getting it from zzp or intense or any other online seller? And also the guy said if i added any modds he would tweak the little changes. so what do u all recommend?

Well mod wise so far i have full exahust sytem 3 inch pipe. u-bent delete , no downpipe yet, have msd plug wires, TB spacer and autolight 104 plugs. The modscoming soonwould be p-logs, downpipe, hv3(if i decide to keep engin as is N/A), 1:9 rockers, and well the pcm tune .

I would go with a custom tune. With what you have done and what you plan on doing you will get a lot more performence out of a custom tune than a new pcm. The ZZP pcm is fine if you keeps things simple but it would be a pain in the *** to send it in every time you wanted to change something. 210 isnt bad you will get the results you are looking for and if you dont the guy can always make adjustments.

I would say the more important part is, what are the guy's credentials? Has he ever tuned 3800s before, and how much tuning experience does he have?

I've just seen a lot of threads on clubgp and such where people have a local tuning shop or someone local with a tuner, who really doesn't have much experience tuning- and ends up worse than stock. Just something to check into.
