ok, i been filling up with the 87 and like everyone said it didnt make no difference. but, im still having the drop in power. i found if i dont slam the gas down in the low end i keep the power in the higher rpms. you think its time for new plugs, wires? just hit 104k

I'm also confused what you're talking about here- but it sounds like you're having driveability issues. However, it is going to be tough to diagnose problems online without being able to look at some scan data to see what is actually going wrong- have you had anybody scan the car while it is having the problem?

Have you been doing regular maintenance as specificed in the manual? Just throwing parts at a problem until you find the solution is a bad idea. If you've been following proper maintenance, you should've changed your plugs at 100k right?

I remember his old thread.

I would say that if you have never replaced your plugs and wires, thats a good place to start, because you are already a little over due. It could help your problem, but I would not bet money on it. It simply COULD help, and is a maintenance thing that really should be done if you've never done it.
