ok, i been filling up with the 87 and like everyone said it didnt make no difference. but, im still having the drop in power. i found if i dont slam the gas down in the low end i keep the power in the higher rpms. you think its time for new plugs, wires? just hit 104k

I remember his old thread.
I would say that if you have never replaced your plugs and wires, thats a good place to start, because you are already a little over due. It could help your problem, but I would not bet money on it. It simply COULD help, and is a maintenance thing that really should be done if you've never done it.
