6th Gen ('00-'05): o2 sensor i believe
i went in from the top, took an knee under the hood in fact. and my 1/2 ratchet is kinda like my breaker bar, it has an extendable handle...when ever im having a hard time with getting anything loose i break out that bad boy and its over haha
I have a 3' long 3/4" diameter pipe that will even give extra braking Power to my brake bar. But I'm gonna have to get me some swivel sockets and some elbows. I had all that stuff. I Also had kids.
So I'm replacing all my little Nic-nacks and nice to have tools. When I replaced my coils I had to go to Home Depot to get a 5.5mm socket.
But Thanks to you and Jason for the info. I'll make sure I have all I need to get it done!

FYI JC, I did not need any swivels. By using enough extension pieces to have the ratchet above the engine and the fenders, I had plenty of room, clear from obstructions.
So if you have to buy a swivel, mock it up first and see if what I did will work for you.
Also, I did not need to "rock" the engine forward like some people have. All was fine, just the way it sat.
But if you have an air pump on your Monte, I never worked around that, so I cannot tell ya what challenges that might add.

I like your thinking

I can't tell you how many projects have spawned the purchase of some neat tools (or just tools I did not have and did not want to borrow).
