Talking Needs some more thought on supercharging

well guys i just got the supercharger and intake manifold and throttle body....this is for doing my TOP SWAP..I have a 2000 monte carlos ssand now i have a chance to score a 2004 ss s/c guage cluster and ZZP 1.0 pcm....so whats you thoughts will i still need to have it tuned to have my motor run without knock...should i buy this still and get it tuned to...i am guessing this would be good to have all the extra goodies and better shift points ....will this work in my car without having a vin number change or does ZZP delete this for you before they send them out !!!!please dont tell me i needs the heads cause i am going saturday to go and get them off a gtp and some other things i still need to get so only thoughts on tuner and guage cluster(no harness though)....i might be able to get the harness saturday if i know in time>>>>>any other pointer are appreciated though

You need the heads for a topswap. Unless you got the SSM90 ZZP kit.

And you'll need a tuned PCM for the topswap

hahahahaha...........i said dont tell me i need the heads.....nemisis just told me it wont work anyway cause wiring is different from 2003 and my 2000

i have other parts if you need it...fuel rail, injectors, maf senors, and map sensor/bracket

I was TOLD that I can use the idle control and all the other sensors on throttle body is this true

i gotn all those goodies that you listed silver bullet.....thanks though...is this true about the harmonic balancer on the 3.8 can be used on my car or DO I HAVE TO CHANGED IT???????????????????????????????????

You need to change the crank pulley to one from an L67 (you need another spot for the supercharger belt)

i looked at my crank pull and your totally right just ran out an looked that sucked cause today at the yard i was tryn to get it off and couldnt get the bolt lose but then to top it all off i ran my tools out to the car and came walking back in to get the other things i pulled and i had left the pulley puller sitting on top of the motor and as soon as i walked back in i notced that i didnt put it back in my bag of parts...but the stupid guys that worked there must of walkede in there when i walked the bag to the car and damn if that puller wasnt gone when i got back .....i was pi$$ed cause is was my machanics and it cost alot of money for anew one ....they tryd to acted like they didnt know what i was talking about but they knew.......i hate a damn thief man that makes me mad.....why cant people steal from big companies that are rich rather than someone thats just tryn to make it in this world dont steal anyway but if you absolutley have to thats all im saying .......now im gonna have to get a puller and give it to him that sux

Since you forgot the crank pulley- make sure you didn't forget any of the other belt related items for the supercharger pulley systems- the idler tower and tensioner pulley.

Make sure you bring a long breaker bar if you don't have access to air tools. I've got them off by hand before, but it's going to be very difficult unless you have some decent leverage- a standard length ratchet isn't going to cut it.

I would use a breaker bar and a long pipe for extra leverage. Go from the top, it will give you more room to push than you would have underneath.
