The machine shop called today. They told me its going to cost $275 plus tax ( I did the math it will be 295). Now thats for cleaning and inspecting the block and crank. That price also includes installing new camshaft bearing, freezer plugs, homing the cylinders, magnafluxing the block, and polishing the crankshaft.

That price isn't bad at all compared to rates around here for all the work that was done. Did the shop know what type of rings you'll be using when they honed the cylinders?

I thought it wad going to be like $400. So when he told be that price I was like proceed with it. They know I'm putting standard rings in it.

Should I have them open the oil gallery holes more?

EDIT!!!!!!!

I just ordered the ARP main studs and some main bearings.

So what you saying is my car isnt good enough to be next to yours at the moment . You should be prevleged to have your car next to the ONLY turbo impala in our town. But its ok if you dont want to be seen with a Sleeping beater. lol j/p bro.

Its going to be a while before I get any paint sprayed on it.
