well they said its the ignition switch , lets see what happens after they replace it.

 

it was the ignition switch and now the monte is running again yeyyyy!!!!!!

The security light was coming on in the message center on the dash then?

That's the big indication that the problem is ignition/bcm related in general. It means that the passkey system is locking you out from starting the car.

 

yes you right the security light was coming on this morning lol, yeap the monte is back on the road again....

 

i had the same prob. mine turned out to be the starter and the fuel pump at the same time crazy stuff!!

 

be aware of who you have fix your car , some times they would unplug things that aint suppose to be unplug or touch , i found out this shop i had went to change my alternator had also unplug my wire harness (the main one that goes to the computer) the one right under the battery , he unlock it and unplugged it and he didn't put it back in all the way or lock it back thats why my car was acting up on me that whole time it wasnt even the crank shaft sensor my mechanic told me that guy was trying to make extra cash on me, he did that so i could come back and get more things replace , ain't that a B***h.......
